Marinke Wijngaard has been appointed to Berenschot’s Managing Board with effect from 1 March 2023. The purpose of expanding the Managing Board, which now comprises two directors, is to help Berenschot achieve its strong growth ambition by accelerating and reinforcing the strategic direction that the organisation has defined for itself for the years to 2026.

Before joining Berenschot Marinke was managing director of TNO’s Circular Economy and Environment division, where she was also involved as an external figurehead in establishing Dutch and European public-private partnerships for initiatives in the fields of circularity, climate, environmental, sustainable chemicals and energy innovation. As well as her experience in management roles at major R&D players such as TNO and DSM she has advised businesses and governments on environmental, external security and sustainability issues and overseen large-scale transition projects focusing on stakeholder and change management.

‘We’re particularly pleased to welcome Marinke to our organisation,’ said Hans van der Molen, chairman of Berenschot’s Managing Board. ‘Her background means she’ll be able to make a major contribution to further expanding our presence in research, advice, implementation and standardised products and services. And so also help us achieve our ambition to be the market leader in providing consultancy services on societal issues in the Netherlands in 2031.’
