Healthcare and Welfare

Dutch healthcare is among the best in the world. At the same time, the healthcare and welfare sector is under pressure from two sides. On the one hand, there is a growing demand, resulting from more stringent requirements, new methods of treatment and the ageing population. On the other hand, cutbacks are forcing cost savings to be achieved. The major challenge is therefore to do more with less money.

Not only are healthcare and welfare organisations being forced to work more efficiently, society is also demanding greater transparency and accountability with regard to quality and accessibility. This requires rapid professionalisation, for example by choosing and focusing on core competencies, adjusting business operations and working more smartly.

Berenschot supports providers (including hospitals, mental health care (GGZ), care for the disabled, care for the elderly, youth care sectors and the Municipal Health Services (GGDs)), healthcare insurers, municipalities, provinces and central government bodies on a range of issues. We do this on the basis of our background and years of experience in this sector and based on our business experience.
