Berenschot to move to Papendorp

In the summer of 2020 Berenschot will move into the ‘Life’ office complex at the Papendorp business park. Our home base will still be Utrecht but we will be leaving our current offices on the Europalaan.

From 1 April 2020 we will have access to 2,900m2 of space spread over one-and-a-half floors in the ‘Life’ building on the Van Deventerlaan in Papendorp. “It’s an attractive location with good visibility from both the A2 and A12 highways,” says Chairman of the Board Hans van der Molen. “’Life’ is an inspirational building which has been completely renovated. We believe that we are making a sound and responsible choice and expect to feel at home very quickly. This new location is a great fit for Berenschot’s future as a flexible, modern and sustainable business.”

There was no question that the new office would once again be within Utrecht’s city limits. As early as 1971 Berenschot centralised its operations and chose Utrecht as its head-office base. “We have over 250 consultants who travel to clients throughout the Netherlands, so Utrecht’s central location makes it an excellent choice,’’ says Hans van der Molen.

Decision-making process

A thorough decision-making process went into choosing the new location. A special relocation committee was set up which put together a list of requirements, supported by an external consultant. These requirements were then tested in a needs survey at the office. The criteria included cost, sustainability and accessibility.

“’Life’ meets many of the criteria. And the council’s development plans for Papendorp mean that the district will become an even more interesting place to live and work, making ‘Life’ an even more attractive option,” concludes Hans van der Molen.
