Berenschot delivers Avicenna Health Hackathon workshop

Published on 12 March 2019

The second Avicenna Health Hackathon took place in the weekend of 23 and 24 March. During this event, patients, healthcare professionals, students and IT professionals got to work on digital and other solutions for issues in healthcare. The event was organised by students from Utrecht University, VU Amsterdam and Leiden University in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT Hacking Medicine). Berenschot sponsored the event and delivered a workshop on pitching.

During the interactive workshop, Berenschot advisors Floris van Dam and Janneke Bootsma informed the participants regarding the various similarities between pitching and presenting and revealed the secret of a successful pitch. Of course the participants were also given the opportunity to practise this themselves in preparation for the pitching round in front of the Jury on Sunday afternoon. The Avicenna Health Hackathon took place at Hogeschool Utrecht.

Berenschot again acted as sponsor of the Avicenaa Health Hackathon. “We do this because we believe that healthcare can and must be improved. Also as advisor, we work daily towards innovative and appropriate answers to strategic questions, both for healthcare providers as well as at system level. The Avicenna Health Hackathon is a fantastic initiative to which Berenschot is delighted to connect”, stated Dam and Bootsma.
