Berenschot starts fourth Communications Benchmark

Following the success of the three previous benchmarks, Berenschot is organising another Communications Benchmark. The objective is to continue to follow developments in and around communications departments. Interested organisations can register to participate until the end of December.

The objective of the Communications Benchmark is to provide insight into both qualitative and quantitative aspects in the communications department. The benchmark covers questions including: ‘How are communications departments managed?’ ‘What position does the communications department have within the total organisation?’, ‘What do communication information and budgets look like?’ and ‘How are communications departments organised?’

It became evident during previous benchmarks that communications departments play an increasingly important role. They no longer only have an implementing role, but also increasingly play a strategic and advisory role within the organisation. Responding to trends and developments is also extremely important.

Previous Communications Benchmark participant organisations included the following: the municipalities of Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht, various provinces and ministries, the Tax Office, Schiphol, Rabobank, Stedin, Vitens, Nederlandsche Spoorwegen, ProRail, De Nederlandsche Bank, the Health Inspectorate and the National Police.
