Robert Wester presents international communications benchmark in Venice
Berenschot will launch an international benchmark study covering all communications aspects in the spring of 2018. The main trends emerging from the national benchmarking Berenschot has conducted over the years are the introduction of social newsrooms, and the growing importance of internal communications. Robert Wester was given the opportunity to adress the ideas behind the communications benchmark in a meeting with 50 EU communications managers.
The issues were covered during a meeting of the ‘Club of Venice’, a gathering of communications directors of the European Union member states and European institutions, held on 23 and 24 November in Venice, Italy. Many of the challenges communications directorates face were addressed during the gathering, including the ‘democratisation of communications’ and the increasing digitisation.
The communications benchmark provides an insight into the qualitative and quantitative aspects of communications teams and operations. It has now been conducted succesfully in the Netherlands over the past three years, with around 40 participants.
