Amsterdam Clean Water promotional video

Published on 2 August 2017

The growing number of tourists in Amsterdam is increasing the necessity to clean the capital city’s waterways. A promotional video of the cooperation agreement Amsterdam Clean Water is intended to make tourists, residents and shopkeepers aware of the large amount of litter in canals, on the banks and in the river IJ.

The cooperation agreement has been signed by seven parties and its aim is to reduce the amount of floating debris in the waters of Amsterdam. In a three-year programme, the Municipality of Amsterdam, Waternet, NRK, PlasticsEurope, Plastic Soup Foundation, Port of Amsterdam and Berenschot are committed to projects that promote clean water in the city. Awareness and communication are an important part of this programme.

The promotional video follows several people from Amsterdam who are actively and passionately involved in keeping the canals clean and can be played in trams, busses, trains and departure halls, etc. (etcetera) Have we aroused your interest? Watch the video on
