Description

In privately managed living environments, the common public spaces are jointly managed by the residents. Stated even more forcefully: they in fact own these spaces. The residents jointly determine the rules and division of tasks and authorities that in other districts are the responsibility of government. The relationship with the municipality, the surrounding communities and with each other consequently is often complex and seldom without friction.

This book deals with the state of affairs in privately managed living environments: from the perspective of the residents, the local community, local and other government bodies, and the market players investing in such facilities.
