Everyone needs to be data-driven!
In the latest edition of professional journal VM [verenigingsmanagement - association management] Amir Sabirovic, New Business Development, Marketing & Sales Director, argues that thinking, working and decision-making with the aid of data was never as attainable for associations as it is now.
The low threshold offers of tools for storage, processing and visualisation of data enable every organisation to start working in a data-driven manner, so says Sabirovic. For instance, associations can use data to get to know their members better, approach relations at exactly the right moment and predict the purchase of products and discover the indicators for this.
To help associations develop into a data-driven organisation, in his article Sabirovic sets out a step-by-step plan, from data to services and products and back again. He also lists a number of conditions and two ways to actually realise the transformation towards becoming data-driven.
