A behavioural framework and review of smart grid projects

Research project

This study provides a review of smart grid project characteristics and end user behaviour in the Netherlands. Several smart grid projects are currently being implemented in the Netherlands, but there is no overview of these projects. This study identified various smart grid initiatives in the Netherlands.

The characteristics and outcomes of these projects in terms of end user behaviour were evaluated using literature from the fields of biology and psychology. This produced a behavioural and a technology design framework that supports the development of successful demand response innovations. The full report (in English) is available here.
