Communicating with the Public
Commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, Berenschot and Clingendael Institute will implement the Professional development course “Communicating with the Public” (part of Shiraka Programme for Arab Countries - Supporting democratic transition in the Arab region) on behalf of the Netherlands Ministry for Foreign Affairs, during the period 2014-2017
Through this Shiraka training programme, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to stimulate and support the democratic transition in the Arab region and to strengthen relations between the Netherlands and the target countries by sharing the necessary knowledge and skills with civil servants working in the field of communication with the public in order for them to lead and inspire the modernisation of government communication in their home countries.
This professional development course on Communicating with the Public is intended for senior civil servants (with between 5 and 10 years work experience) from countries in the Arab region working in the field of communication with the Public.
The course objective is sharing the knowledge and skills between civil servants working in the field of communication with the public in order for them to lead and inspire the modernisation of government communication in their home countries. It also aims to strengthen participants’ ties with the Netherlands and the Dutch government; especially between Dutch civil servants and their counterparts in the target countries.
