Time to differentiate again, focus is so 2011
Focus, focus, focus. That has been the mantra in many boardrooms in recent years. The wind has since changed direction, to greater differentiation. Strategists feel that this is what attracts new growth.
Berenschot recently published the report Hoop in bange dagen(Hope in Fearful Days) Strategy Trends 2012. On the back of this publication, MT Magazine interviewed Berenschot's Hendrik Jan Kaal and Roland Berger's Mark de Jonge, among others. Lovink Technocast, a Berenschot customer, was visited to provide an example of a company that applies a differentiation strategy.
