The report and brochures on this web page conclude the project Stimulating Living Wage/Income in International Supply Chains, commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by Berenschot from January - June 2012. The overall mission of the project was to identify actors and factors that influence the implementation of living wage/income in OECD DAC countries. More specifically, the mission is to stimulate living wage/income in international supply chains through Dutch businesses.

Projections indicate that the potential workforce will decline by 1 million people between now and 2038. Yet, most HR departments spend only 10% of their time on sustainable employability. This would appear to indicate that sustainable employability is not yet an important theme with HR departments. This is one of the conclusions drawn from a survey conducted by Berenschot among 242 organisations in collaboration with HR Strategie (Strategy).

If you would like to enter into a partnership with domestic or foreign players in the water sector (and you are active in this sector as well), you may qualify for a grant! The project must be focused on solving water-related issues in a number of so-called delta and target countries. Your project must subsequently be carried out in one of these countries.

Approximately 45 guests from different European countries attended the meeting ‘Living Wage' on Tuesday afternoon 26 June in the context of the presentation of the similarly named report by Berenschot International. The meeting was held at the Berenschot offices in Utrecht.

Utrecht, 26 June 2012 - Bonuses for executive board members declined by 9 percent over the past year. The relationship between bonuses and the company's performance does not always appear to be consistent, however. Of the loss-making companies, 80 percent paid an average bonus of €147,000. This is one of the findings of the annual remuneration survey of AEX and AMX companies conducted by Berenschot. In addition, there appears to be a limited relationship between the growth or decline of the net profit.

The Berenschot Consulting Firm achieved an operating profit (EBITDA) of €1.8 million for the 2011 financial year. This represents an improvement in comparison to 2010 (€1.5 million). Revenues in 2011 amounted to €51.3 million (€55.8 million in 2010). In spite of the difficult market conditions in 2011, all business units ended up in the black in 2011. Given the persisting difficult market conditions, Berenschot is also expecting a consolidation of revenues in 2012.

In a world that is changing rapidly and in many areas, the mechanism of command & control is increasingly being found to be inadequate. That is the finding of business expert and psychologist Ber Damen in the recently published book Het Berenschot Leiderschapsboek (The Berenschot Book of Leadership).

Nearly 50% of marketers consider the effective use of social media a priority. Nevertheless the opportunity for dialogue with the customer continues to be underutilised. This was the finding of Berenschot's ninth Marketing Trends Survey, which will be presented today during The Marketing Days in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands. More than 700 marketers offered their opinions.

Managers are having difficulty finding strategic answers to the challenges of the world of tomorrow. This has been shown by the annual Strategy Trends Survey that Berenschot has carried out since 2006 among top Dutch companies. The current market uncertainty in fact demands that organisations keep strategic options in reserve, but that is being done far too little," concludes consultant Paul Pietersma in the new Berenschot publication Het Groot Strategieboek (The Big Strategy Book).

IASA2011, the government-wide tender for strategic ICT consulting services, has awarded the custom consulting services parcel. Eight bidders were selected from nearly fifty parties consisting of five independent companies (Atos, Gartner, KPMG, Logica and Management Centrum Thauris) and three consortia (HEC & Boer & Croon & QuintWellingtonRedwood & TNO (1), VKA & Berenschot & Rand Europe (2) and Twijnstra Gudde & Uva/Leibnitz Center for Law & Kirkham Company & Inspearit & Novay (3)).
