About this event
On 7 June 2023 Berenschot and HyXchange will organize a public event dedicated to the future of European hydrogen trade. This event is organized on the occasion of EU Green Week 2023. HyXchange will contribute to the EU Green Week 2023 by presenting the results of its study on the future hydrogen (spot) market dynamics. The study, conducted with Berenschot and TNO, analyzed the functioning of the hydrogen network of 2030 to better understand the importance and need for regulation, flexible production assets, storage capacity and import facilities to satisfy hydrogen demand and ensure security of supply year-round.

The program will start with a short introduction on the HyXchange Initiative and progress made to set-up a hydrogen trading platform, followed by a presentation by TNO on the key study results. Additionally, HyXchange will introduce its hydrogen spot market index. During the panel discussion Bert den Ouden (HyXchange), Wilco van der Lans (steering committee HyXchange and Port of Rotterdam), Marcel Volkerts (Baringa) and Paul-Erik Vermeulen (Engie) will discuss key challenges that producers, consumers and intermediaries face in developing the hydrogen industry. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking opportunity and closing reception. Berenschot will moderate the event.
We look forward to engaging you in an expert exchange on what the adaptations to the hydrogen market should include, and hope to see you there. You can register for the event here.
