First UTSN submission round a success

The first submission round in connection with the Surinam-Netherlands Twinning facility has been successfully completed. Of the total of 138 applications for financing received, 67 (49%) have been honoured.

    Closer cooperation with Suriname

The Netherlands plans to work more closely with Suriname in a variety of areas, including language, culture, education and health care. For this purpose Minister for Development Cooperation Bert Koenders has earmarked €8 million over the next four years. On 1 July a special office was opened in both countries to review funding applications. The office will be run by consultants from the Berenschot agency, in collaboration with the Nikos organisation in Suriname.

    International orientation

Berenschot helps businesses and non-profit organisations develop and/or implement projects in Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. The type of projects varies widely, but financing is often a key aspect. We can help you secure grants from the Netherlands and Europe. In addition, we can provide you with support in launching and implementing international projects, and in finding partners in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.

    Press Release Annual Report 2007

Berenschot Group achieved net turnover of more than €64 million for the 2007 financial year. This is an increase of almost €10 million compared to 2006. At €1.7 million, operational profit was somewhat lower than in 2006, since a great deal of time was invested in training and developing new employees. The returns in 2008 are expected to once again be in line with those of 2006. The number of employees rose from 420 to 450. The consultancy bureau celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
