In recent years, TNT has made a shift from a product-oriented to a market-oriented organisation. As a result, marketing has increased its influence in the business dramatically. But in day-to-day operations, there is uncertainty on the distribution of the various marketing tasks, responsibilities and authorities over the various units, and as a result, too much energy is being spent on each other and not enough on the market.
