Shaping the programme
A large number of public sector organisations is investigating the efficiency and/or effectiveness of their organisation. For a number of these organisations this is in fact a legal obligation, such as municipalities (Section 213a of the Municipalities Act) and provinces (Section 217a of the Provinces Act).
In actual practice, public organisations are responding to this requirement in different ways. Some consider their impact on society as the core element (effectiveness), while others are more focused on how the impact is achieved or on performance (efficiency). Some organisations carry out the investigation completely in-house, while others outsource it fully or partially.
Collaboration with Berenschot

Joint execution, training and participation
Berenschot can also design this programme in joint collaboration with you. Your employees are then taught how to structure the programme, act as effective internal consultants and/or provide the necessary direction to the executing party.
Joint execution of the programme is also an option. This is accomplished on the basis of on-the-job training and Berenschot working side by side with your employees. This will enable your organisation to carry out the investigation entirely independently over time. We jointly determine the applicable standards and analysis strategy, and jointly carry out the investigation. Experience shows that the returns associated with this model are high.
Results
Whatever option you select, the analysis provides you with insight into the strengths and weaknesses of your organisation. The findings of the analysis subsequently help you to improve your performance.
