In 2008, Berenschot established a district office in the Amsterdam Slotervaart district. From this office, Berenschot advises municipalities, housing corporations and other institutions within the district concerning matters such as resident participation, public administration and issues of collaboration at the district level. This way we give meaning to strategic policy as part of day-to-day practices and assist in translating the practices within the district into strategic policy choices.

Our office is part of a special initiative: the Beehive. In the Beehive we collaborate with other entrepreneurs on the development of innovative and creative forms of working. All entrepreneurs are involved in the Slotervaart and devote at least one day of effort each month to the district on a pro bono basis.

As such, the Beehive for example organised an entrepreneur’s festival that brought start-up entrepreneurs into contact with established businesses.
