Technical Assistance
Berenschot has extensive experience in implementing technical assistance projects. We mostly work for bilateral and multilateral donors such as the European Union, the World Bank and the United Nations. Most projects are implemented in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Berenschot is specialised in the following sectors:

Berenschot has been very active with EC funded projects through the management of several framework contracts:
- Administration Reform, Institution Building and European Integration (EU/Phare programme for Central and South-Eastern Europe)
- Regional Development, SMEs and Tourism (EU/Phare programme for Central and South-Eastern Europe)
- Private Sector Restructuring (EU/Phare programme for Central and South-Eastern Europe)
- Private Sector Development Programme (EU/Meda programme for Middle East and Northern Africa)
- Economic Development (EU/Phare, Cards, Tacis, Meda, ALA and EDF programmes for Central and South-Eastern Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa)
- Pre- and post-investement technical assistance, (EBRD Framework Contract for Private Sector Development, Ukraine)
- Governance, Human Rights and Home Affairs (EU Lot 7 Framework).
Within these framework contracts, Berenschot has shown that it is capable to identify and mobilise both short and long term expertise at very short notice. Within seven working days after receipt of the Terms of Reference, we were able to identify qualified experts. Over 1,000 experts were contracted through these Framework Contracts; the total value is over € 50 million.
In addition to projects through these Framework Contracts, Berenschot has managed other, large EU funded projects.
Currently we are implementing the EC Framework Contract: Lot 7 - Culture, Governance and Home Affairs.
